Central Square

The Square of Fighters for Soviet Power in the Far East is the main square of Vladivostok, located at the intersection of the street Svetlanskaya and Okeanskiy Avenue. Before the 1917 revolution, there was a city park at the current territory of the square, where nannies were walking with prams and the orchestra which was playing on weekends. In Soviet times, a garden was remade as a park.

But the April 29th, 1961 at the central square of Vladivostok was a monument to “Fighters for Soviet Power in the Far East”. The monument is a multi-figured compositions, made of bronze. In 1975 a multi-storey building of the regional administration was built. “White House” is an architectural monument of Soviet architecture.
